From Fashion to Founder: A Glimmer Story
People often ask me, “How did you get here?”
From working in fashion for decades to co-creating a dealcoholized sparkling wine… and it’s a question I love answering.
Design is universal.
When you understand colour, balance, and storytelling, you can translate a vision into almost anything. Products change. Mediums evolve. But the ability to see how something should feel — that stays with you.
While my formal training began in fashion design, branding has always come naturally to me. Long before I had a title for it, people were asking for logos, colour palettes, names, and guidance on how to bring their ideas to life. I loved shaping identities — not just creating things.
Fashion taught me that every detail tells a story.
Every fabric choice, silhouette, and palette communicates something before a word is ever spoken.
That understanding became the foundation of my creative life.
From Fashion to Brand Building
Over the years, my work expanded far beyond the runway. I designed across industries; fashion and textiles, wellness, hospitality, finance, music, and wine, including many years designing for large-scale brands.
Working at that level teaches you something invaluable:
how vision scales, how consistency builds trust, and how strong branding creates emotional connection.
No matter the industry, the throughline was always the same , helping people visually tell their story in a way that felt aligned, intentional, and true.
How Wine Entered the Story
Wine, in particular, has always been personal.
My brother Matthew, is an award winning winemaker, and early on I began designing labels for his projects, initially as creative exploration, then as real brand work. One label turned into another. Private labels followed. Before I knew it, wine branding became a space I deeply loved.
There’s something quietly powerful about a wine label.
It has seconds to communicate trust, quality, and emotion.
It must feel timeless, yet memorable.
That balance of restraint and storytelling felt instinctive to me.
What I didn’t know then was that this path would eventually lead me to co-creating my own sparkling wine.
“Design is universal. When you understand storytelling, you can translate a vision into anything.”
The Birth of Glimmer
Glimmer Wine was born from meaning first.
A glimmer is a small flicker of light in a dark moment.
A spark of hope.
A reminder that joy, clarity, and celebration can still exist — even when life shifts how we show up.
That meaning resonated deeply with the world of dealcoholized wine.
Glimmer was created for moments of presence.
For people choosing intention.
For celebrations without the fog.
From the very beginning, the brand needed to feel elevated, calm, and confident. The minimal blush palette, the soft iridescent shimmer, the clean typography — every element was designed to feel like light catching your eye at just the right moment.
A pause.
A presence.
A celebration.
The label has since been recognized with award nominations and wins, a quiet affirmation that story-driven design truly matters.
Where I Am Now
Today, Glimmer holds most of my creative energy, and I’m incredibly proud of that. It represents not just a product, but a philosophy around how we gather, celebrate, and care for ourselves.
But at the heart of everything I do is the same belief that started it all:
Design is about storytelling.
Whether it’s fashion, branding, or wine, my purpose has always been to help ideas take visual form — to create something that feels honest, intentional, and meaningful.
Fashion led me here.
Branding carried me forward.
And storytelling continues to guide everything I create.
Glimmer is one of the most meaningful stories I’ve ever helped bring to life, and I’m so grateful to share it with you.
